All of us together, without Mom. Such a poignant photo, such a sad moment. We wanted to mark it, but we could hardly bear to admit what was now our truth: Mom is no longer here with us. We are all on this earth because of her, and she no longer exists among us. That is the truth we must accept and move on with. Mom is gone. We are here.
Sitting on our cottage porch in New Hampshire, I was on the internet and put in your mom’s name. I found the obituary and a connection to your blog (Is that what it is called?)…What a wonderful set of reflections on the incredible gift of life and love that your mom brought to the world around her and left within all of the McGowan clan.
