Latika Nanhe

Latika Nanhe (formerly the Early Intervention Center)  is for children (0—6 years) who have or are vulnerable to developmental delays. We begin with infants because the earlier we start, the better children do in terms of skills, abilities, overall development. All our programs are activity-based, with the emphasis on learning through play.

The Last 10 Years

What We Do

At Latika Nanhe, we build on the strengths of disabled children and their families, and train parents on early intervention strategies to help their child participate in the family, school, and community.

Counseling

Counseling

A child’s well-being is closely linked to the physical and psychological well-being of their caregiver. We offer individual and support group counseling sessions to families, based on their stated or assessed needs. We work closely with parents and caregivers to enable them to execute interventions at home.

Play-based Interventions

Play-based Interventions

We’re all about making learning and therapy enjoyable, and continually innovate strategies and interventions in keeping with this philosophy. Whether it is theater for a child with cerebral palsy, or Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to help autistic children express themselves, we make sure to pick the most exciting ways to meet our students’ needs.

Functional Skills Development

Our physiotherapists use innovative, creative techniques to help children develop functional skills. We also provide orthotic aids like
footplates, Ankle-foot Orthoses (AFOs)
and Swedish knee braces.

Individualized Education Plans

Individualized Education Plans

Our special educators look at all aspects of cognitive and psychological growth. We use a multidisciplinary approach to develop Individualized Education Plans that incorporate speech and language therapy, alternative communication systems, sensory stimulation and strategies to promote behaviors that help children achieve their goals.
