Now does this look like a young lady so sick her mother had to postpone her trip to America? All of last week Moy Moy kept me in a state of anxiety. She had started having a new type of seizure, and was sleeping massively: up to 20 hours a day. Sebastian made frequent house calls and we were conferring on the phone every day. Blood tests, new medications, changes in her diet – you name it, we tried everything.

With Ravi away, of course, it was all much worse to deal with, and I had the additional worry that I was supposed to leave for Delhi and the US on Friday, while Ravi was not due back until Monday. Normally, Sunita handles everything when both of us are away, but there was no way I could leave with her in this situation.

On Thursday I decided to postpone my trip and on Friday Miss Moy woke up beaming and grinning a satisfied smile. By this morning, she was positively gleeful and I got some of the best photos I have taken of her in nearly a year. Mummy, Naina and I had a ball winding her up and getting her to pose and she was happy to oblige. I’m so glad she did this: Now I can go off to America (for a slightly shorter trip!) in a more tranquil frame of mind, knowing she is OK. Thanks, Moy Moy!
