I’ve never seen a church like Our Lady of Malibu. Its open spaces, full of light, seem like a vision of heaven. Everything about it is beautiful, simple and clear. Fr Bill, the pastor, has invited me to come and speak twice now, and it has been a marvelous experience both times. The people of this parish are open and warm and genuinely want to make a difference, and their Monsignor in Residence, Fr John Sheridan (age 94), is one of the wisest, most adorable and loving men I have ever met. It is an honor just to be in his company, and it’s clear that the whole parish feels the same way.
