Sumita is a friendly, open professional and a well-informed, responsible leader who continues to take every opportunity to learn. Her growth trajectory with the Foundation has been phenomenal: from Office Coordinator to Director HR and Awareness to her current role as Chief Operating Officer and Child Protection Officer – it’s been a steady journey from strength to strength.

Sumita’s meticulous nature has always been one of her best assets, coupled and deepened by her genuine humility and her constant desire to see the good in everyone. As Child Protection Officer, she handles sensitive and difficult issues with tact, compassion and empathy. And as Chief Operating Officer, her organizational skills, anticipatory planning and flair for problem solving make her the natural “go-to-person” for any situation. It’s not surprising to see her advising on drains one minute and budgets the next; dealing with high-level visitors and then sitting patiently with a youngster from Latika Vihar.
