What We Do

At the Latika Resource Center, our aim is to reach out to the world with our message, plans and strategies to achieve our vision of a better world for disabled children.

Advocacy

Advocacy

Every person should know their rights. We educate the public about their rights through community outreach, investigate complaints and contribute to the drafting of new acts and disability policies.

Research on Disability Laws

Research on Disability Laws

Our ongoing work includes research on various disability-related acts and laws, and their implementation and enforcement. Understanding disability laws and rights ensures that trained individuals can work within legal frameworks and advocate for compliance.

Access to Entitlements

Access to Entitlements

We enable disabled people’s access to government-provided services and entitlements such as Disability Certificates, UDID cards, legal guardianship and more.

Training

Training

We train doctors, nurses, anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, teachers, medical and paramedical staff on early identification and intervention strategies, so that disabled people can receive timely services.

Courses and Workshops

Courses and Workshops

Our awareness and sensitization workshops help inform, educate, and inspire thoughtful behavior change that’s pertinent to real life and the society we move in.

Outreach

Outreach

In addition to work that has been featured in Indian and international media, we’ve created toolkits and manuals that are still widely used. Regular updates on our social media channels keep our community of students, trainees, families, friends, and supporters informed about our goings-on.
