Latika Adda

Latika Adda (formerly The Club), founded in 2019, is India’s first and only leisure space of its kind exclusively for disabled adults. Our club features a café staffed by our vocational trainees, who prepare and serve snacks. We also offer board games, music, movies, and a variety of fun events for our members.

What We Do

Disabled people deserve to occupy space in society as much as anyone else: to laugh, eat at a restaurant, socialize, compete and more. Latika Adda is a realization of that dream.

Through fun events like nature walks, treks, yoga & zumba, jamming sessions, and more, members of the club get to enjoy each other’s company. From Christmas to Eid and Diwali, we celebrate every festival with equal enthusiasm.

Disabled adults employed at Latika Adda have a chance to interact with people from all walks of life and be contributing members of society, giving them a sense of purpose, identity and place in the world. For Adda members, it’s a much needed space to hang out and relax with friends.

Build Life Skills

Working in a café requires coordination with others to ensure smooth operation. Our disabled trainees learn essential life skills like cooperation and working collectively toward common goals. Managing simple tasks like maintaining cleanliness or more complex ones like handling finances, inculcates a sense of responsibility.

Why is India’s first club for disabled individuals significant?

As India’s first club for disabled adults, Latika Adda is a big step towards promoting social inclusion and participation, because who doesn’t need friends, after all? Here, disabled adults can enjoy a wide range of recreational and cultural activities with friends while their caregivers get some respite from their duties as well. All this occurs alongside overturning societal perceptions and stereotypes about what disabled individuals can achieve.

Get a Membership

Latika Adda is a safe, inclusive club that is open for membership to all. We especially encourage disabled individuals and senior citizens to be a part of the club. Membership to the club is available with a lifetime registration fee of Rs 500 per year and a Rs 100 monthly maintenance charge, but may be offered for free to the economically disadvantaged.
