Shaila graduated with an Honours degree in English from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi followed by postgraduate studies in special education at AADI. She was the Foundation’s OG (that’s Gen Z speak for Original Gangster, as she recently learnt) special educator. As one of a tiny multi-tasking team, she soon fell into the communications side of things alongside her work with the children and soon realized she was better suited to communicating the awesomeness of her students and colleagues than teaching. A long detour into corporate communications for tech firms and media houses country later, she returned full circle to LRF, her first love, where she combines her corporate experience with her commitment to the development sector in her role as Head, Communications and Branding.
