Sandeep was one of Mama EIC’s onsite physiotherapist’s before he took on as Project Head and physiotherapist at Karuna Vihar Child Development Centre and then Gubbara. He hosts an abundance of practical and clinical experience, which he never fails to utilise wherever he is working. He is a Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association Certified Therapist and has a masters in physiotherapy, specialising in neurology. He was a faculty member in physiotherapy departments at Doon Paramedical College, Alpine Institute and Beehive College before joining Latika Roy Foundation. He has worked at Fortis hospital, Dehradun in the past and also runs his own physiotherapy clinic.
However, neither of these additional ventures detracts from the focus and dedication he brings to his work at Gubbara. He plays the quintessential role of organising and planning activities at Gubbara, coordinating with parents and Doon hospital staff, conducting meetings, building a support system and detailed plan that would help the children improve and also gives his fellow physiotherapists inputs. He is also a member of the assessment and management team. While he is proud of the students he has taught that are now well established and respected in their field, he is equally glad that much of his therapy at Gubbara and within the foundation is having positive results in terms of the progression of the children he works with.
He feels that every new day and every new child have so much to offer him that he only tries his best to give back.
