Rashmi Baruah

She brings over a decade of experience in philanthropic collaborations, fundraising and management, impact-rich communications, operations across non-profit, start-up, and corporate sectors. At Teach For India, she led the donor management team that built high-impact sustained partnerships with Corporates, Institutions, and HNIs and strengthened the backbone of fundraising – people and processes, to enable resource mobilization at scale. She has coached early-stage social enterprises in areas such as strategic planning, communications, fundraising & partnerships.

She loves initiating small-scale projects which revive simple practices – slow reading, leisure, and hobbies, growing food. Pre-pandemic, she started Reading Social, a series of reading sessions for people to come together to read in silence for a few hours. Over 400 people joined these sessions rooted in silent reading, social commitment, and reflection.

Rashmi grew up in the tea gardens of Assam and now lives by the sea in an old Indo-Portuguese house where meals are served in the garden with a side of barn view and 14 coconut trees. Life is slower but fuller in Goa with her dog, which she captures on Instagram. Her commitment to creating a better world for children with disabilities brings her closer to the hills.
