After acquiring a Business Management degree, Mamta Govil’s initial working years were spent in the retail field with Mothercare India Ltd, with a social organization by the name of CRY- Child Relief and You and with the social communication division of HTA- Thompson Social.
Following her heart and getting a post graduate degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Special Education from AADI, she spent many years teaching children at The British School and then at Salaam Baalak Trust, both in New Delhi.

She then joined Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun and spent a few years there before joining Latika Roy Foundation as the Project Head for Mama EIC. She now lives in the Dun valley with her mother and daughter and loves working on issues relating to education and children. Reading, walking, music and spending time in the mountains are some of her other deep-rooted interests!
