Anjali is a researcher and feminist activist born and raised in Almora. She studied English Literature at the University of Delhi, Gender Studies at Ambedkar University, Delhi, and Human Rights and Democratisation at the Indian Institute of Human Rights. After her post-graduation, she decided to return to Uttarakhand and work with the community. She’d heard about the Latika Roy Foundation, and tells us that she knew when she visited that we were the one for her. As Project Coordinator and Placement Officer at our Center for Vocational Training, she’s been instrumental in setting up The Club, Indian’s first leisure and recreation club for disabled adults. She also ensures that our trainees are happy and as independent as possible in their jobs. “The children and young adults at LRF bring light to my life!” she says. And you to ours, Anjali!
