A physiotherapist by training, Aarti’s special focus is on families and children with developmental delays, whom she’s committed to helping participate and perform to the best of their abilities. First joining Latika as a therapist in 2000, she has served as Project Head of Latika Nanhe (formerly the Early Intervention Center), Latika Jaanch (formerly Gubbara), and Director of Rehabilitation Services.
Working in hospitals, training institutes, governmental and non-governmental organizations in India and abroad has helped her acquire a wealth of knowledge and experience that makes her passionate about integrating the diverse abilities of vulnerable children into the mainstream. Her advanced training in Bobath therapy in the UK and Neurodevelopmental Therapy in the United States adds to her expertise, bringing in new ideas for adopting a strengths-based approach with children and families.
As a mother of two children and an army wife, she’s well acquainted with the challenges of
juggling work, family and the added responsibilities of army life, all of which have fueled her own learning and personal development. Aarti believes that patience, understanding and a happy, productive environment are key to inspiring any team to grow.
