Reading Poetry and Sharing Photos with Moy Moy

reading-poetry.jpgI just discovered this little album of photographs while cleaning out my closet. It’s full of pictures of Moy Moy, Cathleen and Anand when they were small – and Moy enjoys going through them with us, remembering the old days and laughing (sometimes) about how cute she and her sibs were.(Sometimes she just looks stern.)

The other thing I enjoy doing with Moy is reading poetry. I read my favorites to her out loud: she loves the cadence and the rhythm of the words and I love sharing them with her. We are doing a lot of Seamus Heaney and Mary Oliver these days (one old friend and one new discovery) and their thoughtful, incisive ways of looking at things now permeates my days more thoroughly than when I was reading them silently. As usual: Thanks, Moy!
