Here’s my brother Owen. Dad and I went to his place last night for dinner – such a wonderful evening! Owen and Sally have four beautiful, darling children whom I get to know better on each visit. This one was particularly special. We had such great conversation and a fabulous meal and after dinner, a guided tour of the barn, where we met their horse, two sheep, and velveteen rabbit. Inside the house, we had already met their cat and two dogs (who had a ball wolfing down the hotdogs when Owen’s back was turned).

Owen and Sally really have the gift of conversation – the secret seems to be curiosity about the other person. They asked us so many questions about ourselves and what we had been doing and it made us feel so interesting! The whole evening was animated and sparkling and, as all good parties, it ended too soon.

And the children! These kids are just such delights. That’s Will and Sam above with our Dad and Hannah and Sarah below with theirs. A joy to our family and to the world.
