I visited the EIC this morning (this blog is really inspiring me to get away from my desk!) and watched Puja doing a new kind of speech therapy which she learned from Anne Bruce (our amazing volunteer speech therapist – more on her later!).
Puja said that Baby Ayush drools a lot and Anne suggested gently massaging his chin, cheeks and upper lip to help improve his muscle tone. He certainly seems to approve!
Dearest Jo,
I hope you remember me….I used to work for Latika Vihar when You first started it.But then I got Married in 1995 and came to America with my husband.
My niece who lives in Indra colony was born with a cleft palate so I was doing some research on that. Suddenly I thought of Karuna Vihar and googled it and found your blog.
it was so inspiring to see all the work you have been doing. Guess what, I am a preschool teacher and work with special needs children in a place called United Services for the Handicapped. Iam coming to India in December and would definitely like to visit your center. Infact My older sister told me that Karuna Vihar has been moved to right across the house from hers in Vasant Vihar. I asked her to go and visit you sometimes.
I saw Cathleen,Anand and Moy Moy in the picture..they are all so grown up ..
Take care,
Mala
