Malvika was a scientist and ecologist in the first half of her working life before morphing into a rural development professional. She describes designing and implementing environmentally conscious rural development programs, working with fantastic teams across the country and meeting with people across the spectrum as “amazingly fulfilling”. Now based in Dehradun, she works independently as an advisor and consultant on sustainable livelihoods, wetland restoration and organizational development, while trying to give more time to her multiple hobbies including sculpture, pottery, reading and travel.
