Soumya Saklani is a Dehradun girl, born and raised. After high school at St Joseph’s Academy and undergraduate studies in Psychology from Delhi University, Soumya went to Australia for graduate studies in International Hospitality Management. After three years of managing hotels for the ACCOR group in city after city she returned to India, knowing she liked working with people. She then did an online specialization in Human Resources for People Managers, and began working in her family’s hotel. While working here she began volunteering at an anganwadi, which she says, “gave me such immense pleasure that I started thinking about how I could combine my skills in Human Resources, psychology with my enthusiasm to work with children. That’s what brought me to the LRF!”
