Linda Upadhyaya was a part of the Foundation almost since its inception. As our staff pediatrician, she was responsible for the assessment and care of each child in our organization, but her work went far beyond the simply medical. Linda was also a trusted counselor and guide for parents, staff and volunteers. In times of crisis, we all knew we could rely on her.

She also provided valuable organizational leadership as the Foundation grew from a small school to a major institution in the field of disability. Linda’s unexpected death in 2006 at the age of 46 left us all stunned and grief-stricken. Along with her husband Prashant and their children, Parijat and Emily, we have lost a dear friend and a wonderful doctor.
