Whimsy

Whimsical Dad

Dad is such a funny man, such a delight to have in our home. This morning, I served the first watermelon of the season. It was bright red and very sweet and we both loved it. I always swallow the seeds, but I noticed that Dad was carefully removing each one before taking a bite.

“Dad”, I said. “The seeds won’t hurt you. You can just eat them.”“Oh, no!” He exclaimed. “I don’t want to eat them. I’d rather use them to say Thank You.”img_3026

I watched him more carefully. Then I looked at his plate. He looked up and grinned at me mischievously. “The ‘N’ is a bit tricky.”
